... And I have become the child of the clouds, and of hope.
I have become the friend of the enemy, whoever that is.
I have become older and, cherishing what I have learned,
I have become younger.

And what do I risk to tell you this, which is all I know?
Love yourself. Then forget it. Then, love the world.

IFS Coaching/"Parts work" for Meditators

IFS Coaching FAQ

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

Unlike traditional psychotherapy, coaching assumes a baseline of psychological well-being. Coaching is not medical treatment and I will not be evaluating your medical condition, giving any diagnoses, or creating a treatment plan for specific symptoms.

Are there any requirements to become a coaching client?

Coaching sessions are specifically for practicing meditators, cultivating the eightfold path of Right Speech, Right Action, and Right Thought. In general, you should have a daily meditation practice, a teacher you work with regularly, and dedicate yearly time for retreat (as your life allows) to qualify for this offer.

Is "dana" or "donation-based" the same as free?

No, donation-based does not mean "free". Though there is no requirement of offer anything in return and I will not send you a bill, the purpose of offering in this way is to inspire others and develop a widespread culture of generosity, not one of "getting a good deal". In the US, people often equate something being offered feeling to be of lessor value. This is not the case. I have found parts work/IFS to be incredibly healing and beneficial to my own practice and spiritual journey and would like to make this available to others. Donations allow me to dedicate more time to supporting members of our community, either individually or through groups.

Do you have a have a suggested donation?

Following the model of Buddhist teachers before me, I do not offer a suggested donation, but rather encourage a connection to your own heart to see what feels right for you. May whatever offerings you make be in support of your long lasting happiness and freedom.
